Long-term Cable Storage

Scope: Long-term cable storage

For this project, Oceanteam has delivered two turntables with intention of the cable storage. One 1250te turntable and an upgraded demountable turntable of 5300te are suitable for the cable specifications. The cables are stored in Oceanteam’s own cable storage facility in Velsen Noord, the Netherlands. Oceanteam cable storage facility is located within an ISPS terminal including direct access to the quayside and 24/7 standby cable handling equipment.

 

Storage Tank Fabrication

Scope: Storage Tank Fabrication and Cable Storage

For this project, Oceanteam has designed, engineered, and fabricated a 120te liftable cable basket for storage for up to 20 years. The cables are stored in Oceanteam’s own cable storage facility in Velsen Noord, the Netherlands. Oceanteam cable storage facility is located within an ISPS terminal including direct access to the quayside and 24/7 standby cable handling equipment.

 

Cable Splice

Scope: Temporary cable storage and splice

Oceanteam facilitated temporary onshore cable storage and splicing at Oceanteam’s own cable storage facility in Velsen Noord, the Netherlands. For this, 4000te and 2000te carousels, cable handling personnel, and the accompanying equipment were mobilized at the quayside facility.
