Auxiliary Equipment

Oceanteam Cable Solutions builds and owns a large pool of cable handling equipment including auxiliary equipment such as winches, chutes and roller blocks. The cable highway roller boxes (asset codes ED-029a, ED-029b) are roller blocks fitted with steel rollers on three sides with a concrete foundation. They are used either on the vessel deck or on the quayside and normally ballasted/secured by lashing to D-rings. The concrete foundation is either 800mm or 1600mm long. The bottom roller height can be adjusted as per project requirements. The rollers are sacrificial and can be easily replaced in the unfortunate case of failure. The rollers are also galvanised to prevent corrosion. In operational environments, a roller box pitch of 1.5m to 2m allows for smooth cable handling operations.
