Cable Installation Equipment

Oceanteam supplies the complete equipment chain needed to install subsea cables, umbilicals and flexible pipelines — from storage and pay-out through to load-out and installation support. Our fleet is engineered in-house and built to DNV-ST-N001 and other applicable offshore standards, and is mobilised from our North Sea bases to projects worldwide.

Storage & handling

Demountable cable carousels (also known as turntables) with capacities up to 5,500t form the core of our cable installation equipment. They store and pay out subsea cables, umbilicals and flexible pipelines during transport and installation. See our carousels.

Tensioning

Track tensioners and wheel pair tensioners control cable pay-out speed and tension during load-out and lay operations, supported by bow cable engines and linear cable engines for higher-capacity projects. See our tensioners.

Loading

Loading towers and mobile loading arms guide cables safely from carousel to vessel or from vessel to shore, minimising bend radius risk during transfer. See our loading towers.

Auxiliary equipment
