Carousel

Oceanteam Cable Solutions owns a large pool of cable handling equipment including various demountable carousels. This 2500mT carousel comprises of two main parts: the carousel basket and the foundation grillage. The foundation consists of three (3) separate grillages that are easily mobilized with each weighing around 50mT. When bolted together, they create the carousel foundation. They are fitted with 40 fixed stiff rollers spread over one (1) ring. The basket is fitted with one (1) ring as well. A Ø5.00m inner core and twenty-four (24) outer wall columns give an overall outside wall diameter of Ø15.60m. The effective basket wall inner diameter is Ø14.56m. Partition rings and inner core diameter changes can be facilitated on a project basis. The carousel is operated through three (3) foundation mounted hydraulic operated drive motors interfacing through a sprocket/chain design. The drive motors are supplied by a containerized 20ft electric HPU. The entire system is controlled through a remote-controlled unit (RCU), which can easily be positioned at convenience.
