Oceanteam Cable Solutions builds and owns a large pool of cable handling equipment including track tensioners and wheel pair tensioners. The Linear Cable Engine (LCE) is a wheel pair tensioner tower that provides a flexible solution for various cable handling operations. It is easily transportable by truck and can be mobilized onsite. This equipment includes five wheel pairs providing a total tension of 50kN. This LCE can be used independently or in conjunction with Oceanteam’s Mobile Loading Arm (MCPA-001). The LCE is open at the top and allows for top loading to ease handling of cables end connections and joints. The wheel pairs can be opened, closed, started and stopped either simultaneously or separately and the LCE can operate in Constant Speed and Constant Tension modes among other options. The LCE is remote controlled from an HMI which can be positioned at convenience based on operational spread. The standard loading arm configuration includes a 5 mT Linear Cable Engine (LCE). The spread is provided with two standalone HPUs, one for the LCE (if part of the spread) and one for the loading arm. A certified staircase for safe and easy access is also included.
